Knights of Columbus Marian Hour of Prayer

Our Lady of CharityThe new Knights of Columbus Marian Hour of Prayer program, dedicated to Our Lady of Charity, was inaugurated during morning Mass on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Supreme Convention held in Nashville, TN. The inauguration ceremony was led by Cardinal Jaime Ortega y Alamino of Havana, who blessed framed images of Our Lady of Charity being held by all the state deputies attending the convention. Our Lady of Charity is the patroness of Cuba.

Cardinal Ortega y Alamino prayed that “as these images of Our Lady of Charity go forth, may the Knights of Columbus and their families … be filled with faith and love.”

The Our Lady of Mercy Icon and Family Hour of Prayer will be making it’s rounds starting September 8, 2007 in Custer, the home of Past State Deputy, Joe Uhrich and will finish September 19, 2008 the home of State Deputy, Maynard Konechne at Kimball.

Included with the Icon are prayer books for the Hour of Prayer and a logbook to be filled out after each Prayer Service, including place of service and number of attendees. You may view/download a copy of the prayer book by clicking on the link below.

It is the responsibility of each District Deputy to schedule services and keep the icon on schedule as shown below.

The State Council recently acquired a second icon and will therefore be running two schedues; one for East River and the other for West River. For the schedules, click on the link below.
